The "Spiritual Economy" is built on "the last shall be first, and the first shall be last." It is not top-down but bottom-up. It is built on those who "condescend" to lift others, not the world's power structure. For men, it is being the "Servant King."
The love of God is not just feelings but opportunity. God did not die so that you would feel better about being loved. He died to allow you to become like Him, grow, put on the character of God, and be a joint heir with Christ.

I I can't tell you the influence the
impact that this has on people in their
lives and their temple experience in
their uh testimonies It's it's just
incredible You ought to take a look at
it Something uh I do with Bruce Porter
uh fortunate enough to learn so much
from him and uh you never see the temple

gone on this It's just incredible It's
an amazing amazing experience

Gospel on the Nile in the description

little bit more and see if it's
something that you want to do We've got
uh we've got tours going on in

incredible All right Also make sure that
you sign up for our quickweek newsletter
uh at quick media.com
cwicdia.com and uh that you subscribe to
our show here if you like the content
that you see All right not a whole lot
of content going out here lately I've
been extremely busy with these tours
I'll have a different way of doing this
hopefully next time so that I've got
everything banked up and ready to roll
before I ever even head out on tour Uh
being gone a couple of months is a
difficult thing to run a podcast where
you have limited internet uh sometimes
and are very busy with customers and
tours and guiding people through the
temples and uh traveling and doing all
these things So we'll we'll get this
figured out I want to talk about
something that uh one of the customers
uh one of the travelers here with us on
this last
uh Egypt tour in fact just yesterday
said he said a couple of things that a
little differently than what I would say
but uh very very good point on on on a
couple of issues Number one is talking
about Abraham 3 and the fact
that Jesus or God
is greater than them all and talking
about all of these different
intelligences Right remember Abraham is
pointed out as to who he is because he's
one of the great and noble ones in the
hierarchal structure of chapter 3 of
Abraham But God is the greatest of them
all the greatest intelligence of them
all And he pointed out something that is
very important something that I talked
about which is the spiritual economy
where he says the reason he is the
greatest of them all is not because of
his dominance
It's it's it's his intelligence is equal
to his obedience to God and law and
order Right so and and his love and his
service to those around him That's what
makes him the greatest One of the most
important lessons that Jesus gives in
his mortality is talking about the
spiritual economy and how it all works
It's the exact opposite of how it
typically works here on Earth And that
is the greatest among you is the least
among you Right or the first among you
is the last among you Saying that the
one who is the most intelligent of them
all has the most spirit is is aligned
mostly with the order of God and truth
and the cosmos and everything else is
the one who serves
So it's it's it's really the idea I
think of King Benjamin and his the the
spiritual economy that he's introducing
there which is just opposed to King Noah
where King Benjamin is the servant king
He's the servant king He's still the
king He's in charge but he's the servant
king And any woman would be the servant
queen And that's what we should strive
for wherever we can It it it it still
mean doesn't mean that you know you're
not responsible for decisions You're not
responsible period It just means that
you do it in service and that the
economy is upside down It's the other
way around and we should act that way
And men men especially in an
understanding of this ridiculous idea of
patriarchy and taking examples out of
context and not that this doesn't exist
but you know you're a servant king
You're a servant king That's what you
strive for You do the you you you rule
so to speak or you lead That's a better
word You lead out of love and
service That's how it's supposed to work
And that's how the spiritual economy
works right and and we we we're how we
get so screwed up with this idea from
feminism about the patriarchy and and
and and putting men into a certain
category of oppression or the other way
around men becoming complete you know as
is said beta men because they're not
leading right the idea is not ruling
over somebody else The idea is serving
others The idea is loving
others And that's how you lead That's
what you are supposed to do That is the
economy of God And this is what God says
when he says "I am the greatest of them
all." It's not boastful It just means I
am at I am the leader because of the
love that I
offer Because of the leadership that I
offer because of the sacrifice that I
offer I will lead but I do it through
love and obedience to the laws of
God That's important to understand It's
again it's kind of like the thing we
talked about with love that I'm about to
get into here Joel
the traveler the guest the customer that
I was talking about brought up another
point as we were talking last night and
that is that of
opportunity and recognizable opportunity
or recognized opportunity This is
important to understand I think also
with what is going on in our world
culturally especially well let's say
within the gospel it's very important to
understand We've talked a lot about love
and untethered empathy and malevolent
compassion and and love What is love and
what does it mean and you know the
atonement is not all about the love of
God for
you And this is concerning to me because
this is where we're going It's all about
what have you done for me lately and and
what is you know how much does God love
you look that's an important thing to
understand but it's only half of the
equation It's only half the message that
that is more of an evangelical message
God loves you Just believe in him and
everything's okay That's not true That
is not
true It's not all
okay You understand that God loves you
so that you can better have a better
footing so that you can love God And how
do you love God if you love me obey my
commandments Why why obey his
commandments for a matter of oppression
a matter of yay you have to do this
Arbitrary ideas that God is giving out
to us to say do this or don't do this
and I'm just going to purely test you
for just for pure the the the pleasure
of a game that he's going to play No it
is about love It's about the
opportunity that he gives us through the
plan of salvation including the atoning
sacrifice of Jesus Christ to make our
own decisions and to grow and
learn And so when we say that God loves
us what it means is hey I everything's
going to be okay It's not
true It's not true
going to get there to the pearly gate so
to speak and it'll be like thank you God
for loving me so much
Okay now
what the love he gives us is the
opportunity the opportunity to choose
who we are and who we want to become If
we want to become more like him If we
are looking for
exaltation which is not a a boastful
thing which is not just an acquiring
thing It is it is becoming like the
charact using the character of God It's
it's becoming like
God and that is what he wants That is
what he is looking for That is why we
obey his
commandments so that so that we can
follow through on the
opportunity given to us through the plan
of salvation the atoning sacrifice of
Jesus Christ That's an opportunity So
the question is is do we recognize that
and we're learning more and more
unfortunately to not recognize
this where where and I'm talking about
the
opportunity It's just oh just recognize
the love That's all you need That's all
that matters God loves you and that's it
Again important message Very important
message But if we don't recognize the
opportunity that is given to
us which which which you know if that
messaging is not there recognize what
this means recognize why he loves you
what that love means has a lot more to
do with what you
do what you end up doing it is all about
opportunity right the
the exalt Exultation needs to be taught
Understanding of exaltation needs to be
taught And it's not oh boy I've got to
pressurize pressure myself into doing
all of these things No it's who do you
want to be do you want to put on the
character of God do you want to go
through the process of repentance which
is simply just trying to get better
trying to become more like God You're
getting yourself more and more out of a
fallen state of of of spiritual death
You cannot become and you cannot be
fulfilled and you cannot reach your
potential without recognizing that
opportunity which message is being
squatchched it seems over and over and
over
again The plain and precious things that
are lost before the restoration with
Joseph Smith is a watering down of the
plan It's a watering down of your
identity It's a watering down of your
potential It's a watering down of how
you help others It's a watering down of
building the character of
God And we're moving more and more into
this mentality this
spirituality of of well God loves me and
that's all that matters
And if we don't recognize that the love
he gives us is an
opportunity respecting our agency above
all then the opposition
wins Who do we want to
be how do we want to be that how do we
put on that character how do we change
who we are can we get that fulfill that
fulfillment can we have that
hope not just that God loves us but that
we are moving toward a position of
growth right and and fulfillment and
becoming more like the creator in that
case I I
I hope we can stand up for that I sto we
can stand up for the plain and precious
thing is the entire purpose of the
restored gospel
If you don't need the restored gospel if
you don't need the Book of Mormon if you
don't need the additional scripture if
you don't need priesthood authority hey
then you can just say "God loves me,"
and everything's
fine That's my message from Cairo
Egypt We'll talk to you soon
