The War In Heaven Over Empathy And Truth

Did Lucifer entice a third of the host of heaven with empathy and fairness? Did he try to show how an outcome of disparity is unacceptable and that if we surrendered our agency, he would guarantee an equitable outcome?

You cannot have Equity with Agency and you cannot have Agency without Disparity.

all right I want to talk a little about
the war in heaven and uh insights that I
think are important in understanding
what happened there and how it applies
to us today now this episode is brought

uh I want to cover a couple of things
here about that war in heaven that I
think we are
missing when you read Moses 5 which is
where we get the most information about
Lucifer in this War and what his
incentives are we see that he is giving
us a reaction
and that reaction
is based on the presentation of the
father's plan and the father's plan is
interesting right because it there is an
issue there there is a major issue with
it and that is that not everybody is
going to have an equal
outcome right there is disparity because
of the protection of
agency so we don't all end up in the
same place we get the opportunity and
the choice the invitation to choose who
we want to be and to probably judge
ourselves in the last days and or at the
Judgment seat so to speak where it's
like I don't feel comfortable here I
don't want to be here uh up or down
wherever that might
be
but it's a reaction Lucifer is reacting
to that plan that is put out with the
different kingdoms and different results
for different people it's not fair right
it's not fair there is a an outcome that
does not offer everybody the same
result and I believe that that's what
the original incentive is on this the
original
issue right that's the original issue it
is
fairness
and how that is described because you
could have a fairness of of
opportunity which is really as president
Oaks says right the equality of God is
not the equality of outcome but the
equality of
opportunity and that is the Plan of
Salvation whereas Satan Lucifer in the
premortal world is saying no the
fairness is the outcome right it is the
equality of outcome or Equity as we know
it today it is equity all will be the
same as as uh Satan says at the
beginning of chapter 5 in Moses I will
redeem all not one Soul shall be lost
not one Soul shall shall be lost that is
pretty appealing right everything will
be the same well the only way that you
can accomplish that the only way you can
accomplish that is by removing
agency and so you have an option what
plan do you go with this is a natural
dichotomy there's a natural two ways one
is going through and and relying on
individ idual agency and who they
become right repentance change becoming
the other is I will remove
agency and make it so that everybody has
an equal outcome and there's no need for
a redeemer in that case no need at
all so that's the problem right we know
that that's something that's absolutely
needed you have to have that and without
that then you don't have the opportunity
to have that type of a relationship with
the Son of God so those are the two
options that you
have
secondly if I'm saying that right I'm
seeing everybody walk around here
secondly the issue is going to
be
Force see the only way that you can have
a an equal outcome for everyone is
tyranny right when you remove agency it
is done through
tyranny so tyranny is required and here
we he and we
see Lucifer saying in Moses to the
father give me thy
Glory give me thy
glory
and the Jos
is Jehovah the Son of God
says I will do thy will father the glory
be thine right so those are the two two
different Avenues I will do thy will
which is what we're supposed to do we
choose that we have the opportunity to
choose the will of the father and we can
do that through the atonement and we can
do that through building a relationship
with Christ which was which is what the
entire endowment is about what the
covenants are about is building a
relationship to help us rely more on the
Savior to be reconciled with the father
that's the plan do we choose it or don't
we choose it so Satan is using as I
bring this up again these two things in
his plan one is untethered
empathy he has compassion for those that
are not going to have the same
outcome he knows that's going to
happen and so he starts with that it's
untethered empathy and people are
naturally going to have that we can see
that all day
today after
of people's
choices um Love Is
Love right uh uh don't worry about
making these mistakes it's not a big
deal and you just be you you be
you God will beat you with a few Stripes
slap you on the hand and then all will
be well in Zed right that is a very
common sentiment today even within the
church it's becoming to me as I see it
as I've got got my ear a little to the
ground on these things it's becoming
bigger and bigger the second is actually
what you
do right so you you start off with a an
untethered empathy which is what you
feel for others and secondarily it is a
malevolent compassion which is what you
do and that malevolent compassion says
I'm going to take that ined empathy and
those feelings that I
have and I am going to do certain things
advocate for certain
things especially things like against
family and the Order of the family and
the law of
Chastity but much
more because I have compassion and
that's what it leads with you do not
have real
evil you do not have real evil without a
new morality you have to have a carot
for people people don't want to be evil
people don't want to do wrong so they
have to have a
justification for doing what they do
with a new
morality that untethered empathy and
that bevent compassion is that new
morality and the philosophies of men
that we see today that are all over the
place now and have infiltrated all of
our
institutions this is how they work they
will pull you in with a carrot of
empathy and compassion that are
untethered to truth and
Justice we get
the almost title but his description
also with uh with Jesus in the New
Testament and in the Book of Mormon of
Jesus Christ who is filled
with grace and
truth Grace and Truth you cannot just
have
Grace he has to be Tethered to
truth and this is Jesus he represents
that Grace but he also represents truth
and having a teddy bear Jesus is really
just that Grace being represented
there's no truth
involved there's no invitation to be
like
me instead it is an invitation of just
love for you and
comfort right it it's I love you no
matter what which is true I love you and
that's all that
matters and it takes away the truth and
the pathway that he set up
himself that we're supposed to follow
of
Truth and removes it well that's the way
all of Christianity
is that is that is removing the restored
principles of the Gospel the restored
doctrines of the Gospel in an
understanding of who we are right as CH
children of God Children of the Covenant
Disciples of Christ and who we are
supposed to be what what what is the
invitation that is given to us and that
is of
exaltation so
I I think that when we think about this
war in heaven and we compare it to the
philosophies that are happening or or or
being spread around today so much we
should be able to recognize this pretty
clearly it's not just a third of the
host of Heaven that are just evil evil
evil evil to start
with they're lured
in they're lured in by this untethered
empathy and malevolent compassion to to
have a new morality now of course what's
going to follow that it's justification
for their choice it's justification for
being right it's fighting against the
other side which would be fighting
against the Savior it's
Antichrist and justifying what you're
doing and a lot of it has to do with I
don't want to go through this
adversity I see this plan laid out maybe
I've seen everything about what I have
to do on Earth I see the horrors of
mankind I see pain and sorrow and
difficulty I don't want anything to do
with
it and therefore Lucifer's plan is a lot
better I don't want that pain I don't
want to deal with these things it's too
tough and it's not easy is it I mean you
have to put yourself in everybody's
shoes and your own shoes back at that
time it's not
easy but you chose it because you're
here you you chose it because you're
here because you understand the light at
the end of the tunnel you understand the
entire plan you understand the idea of
exaltation the idea of becoming of
changing your character to match more
closely the character of
God this is the same thing that has
always
happened it's happened since the very
very
beginning one leads with a new Mor ity
the other is anchored to
