This is a re-post of the original episode, which is no longer available.
A Stake Relief Society LGBTQ presentation called for the use of preferred pronouns, wearing the Pride Flag or rainbows, and recommended replacing "brother" and "sister" with "friend."
These presentations, which are very similar, are happening all over the US. They essentially promote the Pride movement and do not include teachings of Exaltation and the Law of Chastity.
all right so this is a reposting of the
original Relief Society lgbtq episode
that is no longer available I think this
is a very important message to
understand that these things can be and
are being taught in Relief Society young
women's other auxiliaries and the
message is clear follow these new ideas
that are not part of the Gospel but are
part of our changing culture I hope you
watch this all the way through so that
if this arrives at your do doorstep so
to speak that you might have a better
idea of what to do about it you might be
aware at least that it it is happening
and you might be better prepared for a
response now this episode is brought to
you by go Ando travel and the new
journey of wisdom this Cruise which hits
three different continents is from
September 12th to September 24th 2025 we
are in Greece we go to the aisle of pmos
where John received the Book of
Revelation
we are in other parts of the Greek Isles
we go to Athens we end up in turkey and
go to Ephesus and Memphis Egypt where
Abraham walked and Joseph of Egypt
walked and where Moses was brought up we
hit the pyramids in the Spinx there as
well I'm very excited about this trip
we'll be discussing the philosophies of
men versus the truths found in scripture

go so identitarianism
lgbtq not so faithful teaching happening
in Relief Society um this is something
that comes up often I get reports on
this all the time and and I'm going to
go over one one example but it's it
could be all of the examples they're all
very very similar in how these things
are regurgitated and taught in whether
it's Relief Society or young women's or
over the pulpit or wherever it might be
so we're we're going to delve into that
a little bit more here but so this is a
recent stake Relief Society presentation
was given and again it doesn't matter
where it doesn't matter who by whom I
I'm not as concerned about those types
of things as you know I I rarely ever go
over those types of specifics it doesn't
really matter getting a scapegoat and
focusing your
your um ey or whatever it might be on an
individual or anybody else has is not
the solution to these things the
solution is to be aware of them and to
speak up and to understand what's
happening and and hopefully we can walk
through that a little bit here so I'll
bring up a little uh I was going to say
chart it's not a chart but uh this is
something that is brought up often in in
these presentations inside of the church
and again it could be in elders quum but
it's it could be at the pulpit but it's
usually in Relief Society or young
women's because women are the target
primarily of identitarianism and to
become kind of as we what we might call
an ally in this uh in the lgbtq
movement uh and I want to be very clear
here I'm going to back back up to a full
screen here when I talk about these
things I am not talking about an
individual that has a different SE ual
orientation and and and that this is the
problem I I don't believe that that is a
problem I mean it might be something
difficult for that person to go through
but that is part of their
identity uh it is a struggle that
they're going to deal with is they are
in a
minority uh in the church it's
definitely an issue and they've got to
struggle with that I I offer support
there I I think that that is a very
difficult thing we all have Alles
however that is a challenge for them and
and it should be met with Charity now
charity however is not tolerance charity
does not tolerate sin right but charity
is the love of Christ the Pure Love Of
Christ and so you know some people have
a hard time with this it's like you're
all the way on one end of the spectrum
here with uh absolutely Open Arms let
everything goes whatever your lifestyle
is is good you condone everything and
and and that is what love is Love Is
Love right on that end and on the other
end it is I'm excluding you I don't want
to have anything to do with you you're
not welcome here um that's that's a
problem too both of those ends of the
spectrum are a problem where do you walk
the edge of the sword here you love the
person you love the individual right but
you stick to the
Commandments you stick to trying to
develop the character of God
but that's not what is taught in these
presentations they are essentially a a a
class of indoctrination and they're
happening all over the place so what
we'll see is something like this similar
to what we just saw in uh I've got the
images on this but I'm not going to show
the images because they would implicate
certain individuals both those giving
the presentation those attending Etc so
in this case I can't do that but this is
just something that is brought up all
the time these are all brought up all
the time these same issues and that's
what I want to address right we need to
be wel welcoming to the lgbtq community
100% agree right we're not going to go
all the way over on this end of the
spectrum that's wrong we have the Pure
Love Of Christ okay we walk the edge of
the sword because that's where Truth and
Love is found Point number one ask about
someone's pronouns and use them
correctly now imagine you want to take
the order of God and turn it on its head
see that's not right and and when
someone says well that's the
compassionate and loving thing to do no
it's not and then what is oftentimes
used it's kind of used as a bully Club
is look if you don't do this they might
commit suicide and this is actually what
was put on the board if you don't deal
with the pronouns the way they want you
to deal with the pronouns then they
might commit suicide that is false there
is no absolutely zero evidence of that
right now do lgbtq individuals
especially trans
individuals uh struggle with suicide and
Suicidal Thoughts yes but it is not
because you are not using their pronouns
that's wrong okay don't believe that and
that is a bully club that is being used
it is you you do not give up on truth
now that doesn't mean that you need to
treat the person poorly just try and
avoid it but you don't search out what
their pronouns are and and how could use
this I wouldn't do that I would not
recommend that you do that why okay well
the reason that I'm not going to do that
is because I'm not going to give in on
the order of God and on truth and what
is the order of God there are men and
there are women they procreate and they
have families that is the order of God
that is the building block toward
exaltation and sealing Eternal
families and and and to mess around with
the pronouns is to say number one that
bi biology doesn't
exist right it doesn't matter what
biology
is and you say well that's just what
they want you to say no I it's not and
and you know it's and it should not be
forced your your speech should not be
forced to change because someone feels
they are different than they what they
really
are and that they want to be you know
communication vocabul
language is a
negotiation between individuals it's not
one-sided it's something that we
share right it's something that is
shared it's not owned by an
individual and so part of that language
and that communication needs to be about
truth
always you don't skirt around that so
this is what is taught often times that
you know find out what their pronouns
are and and go from there the church
does not approve of this they are
certainly they don't support it at least
they don't advocate for it I know there
was something in their the manual a
while back before they made the recent
changes I get it that doesn't mean they
were supporting it they were just
putting a place for you a note place for
you to write in there if they had
preferred Pon pronouns they've removed
that they they now are against that okay
the second point on here uh use a
rainbow flag right or a pin or something
like that that you can put on to show
that you are open and accepting I kind
of get what they're
saying you know that they're going to be
friendly and in other words you want if
you are uh someone in the uh that is
lgbtq you want to make sure someone is
not hostile because there are hostile
people right that there there are but
for
me you know the rainbow flag means a lot
of different things including a movement
that destroys the
family and and I I I say that
firmly
110% because that agenda of of the
rainbow flag of pride is
anti-am period And I will not cross the
line on the order of the family I won't
do that and and so I would expect that
an lgbtq individual would understand
that I believe in the order of the
family I believe believe in as sister
Beck in our in a followup to our recent
episode here said I believe in a family
theology it is the doctrine of
exaltation and I'm not going to mess
with that it is too precious to me so I
can separate the
agenda right the agenda of
Pride from an individual who has a
different sexual orientation
okay there is a difference there a lot
of individuals who have who are who are
lgbtq do not subscribe to the pride
agenda in fact a lot of them really
really dislike it okay so there is a
separation there and so I think in our
communication we should start State this
whenever possible right it's like okay I
love you I I support you I want the best
for you but I don't approve of Pride
movement I don't approve of anything
that is breaking down the family that is
breaking down identity and I think that
this is one of the reasons that
President Nelson came out with the his
identity hierarchy as I call it a couple
of years ago at the the single adults
Fireside right first we are a child of
God a child of the Covenant and a
disciple of Christ and everything else
comes below that sexual orientation race
gender Etc right it's not that they
don't exist they do but what the pride
movement does is it takes those lesser
identities and wants to put them at the
top and make them
everything and that creates creates a
real problem with each of our own
identities I'm not going to participate
in that I'm not going to participate it
for myself and I'm not going to indulge
you in
it so the rainbow flag to me is a no no
I I don't I'm not going to mess with it
it's not that I don't care for those
individuals I do care for those
individuals but I I do not care for the
pride movement and and and here's
another reason why replace brother and
sister with friend okay see what this
does it's not just a matter of what are
your pronouns it's now using our own
language based on truth of a brother and
a sister and saying it's gone we're
going to eliminate it that is what I am
talking
about so no more brother Johnson no more
sister Smith just friend
period because we're not supposed to
identify gender we're not supposed to
identify biology we're not supposed to
identify Adam and
Eve it seems to me that stepping into
that area there should be a great
concern to
someone and that Pride movement that
anti-am movement that
anti- uh uh identity
movement that anti- child of God
movement seeks to break down that
order okay and then here are some of the
resources that were offered in this
stake Relief Society presentation and
many stake Relief Society presentations
and young women's groups and and
firesides Etc right and this comes from
listen learn and love uh and there
resources this is a this is from Papa
Osler um I do not recommend these
sources why do I say that I I don't
participate in the lgbtq community so
why why would I have recommendations on
this number one is that these are not
the most
faithful of sources of
resources I know I'm going to get push
back from some of these individuals I
understand that but these are not the
ones I would put at the top of the list
I don't know a whole lot about lift and
love so I I I'm not going to say much
more there but uh um the others well I I
do follow Faith matters a little bit um
I I in the end there is a a consensus a
majority consensus that I have seen
there that is pro change in the temple
right pro-change for a hope and change
for uh gay marriage in the
temple and and that I'm saying that just
because I've seen a number of their
episodes on on these
topics and so I would not recommend that
I I don't recommend that I I have I've
said this several times I think that
there is a difference between having a
hope in a change for the
church and and having a hope in Christ
and I think that there are certain
Eternal truths that are not going to
change no matter what we want
and and so if I'm hanging on to those
Eternal truths what I really need to do
is
place myself on the Altar and and and my
heart on the altar a broken heart and a
contrite
spirit and and put my hope in
Christ because otherwise I'm going to
build things up where if there is not a
change in the church and I've put my
heart there my treasure is in that
change and it doesn't come about then
what is that going to
do the two books that are shown up here
are uh without the mask from Charlie
bird and a walk in my shoes from Ben
shalot um look and I I I've brought them
both up before because they're very
public and very out there uh I do not
have an indiv an issue really with them
individually and I would love to go to
lunch with them I really would I would I
would love to sit down and talk to them
and I would guess from what I've seen
that they are two very good human
beings I I but they but they want
different things than what I think the
Eternal truths provide they're looking
for a hope in that change I spoke of and
I don't agree with it and so it's not
even them that I have an issue with it's
those that promote their
messages and you've got deset book and
LDS living
and uh I mean Charlie bird was man
enough to go into Deseret Book and say
hey since I'm getting married to my
boyfriend I'm going to pull my book who
knows if deset book would have pulled it
not not a whole lot of Scruples in that
area over
there and and so he went in and had it
pulled he thought it was the right thing
I mean kudos to to Charlie I don't you
know I I think it's wrong to go after
these individuals so much what I have a
problem with is the people at LDS living
the people at desire at
book the people that are the the the
honestly the Bishops and the state
presidents that invite them to
firesides the area presidents that
invite them to
firesides and and have them give a
message that that that is oftentimes
very good and often times very spiritual
I've heard
them but in the end it is well the
family proclamation might not be
complete and and gender may not matter
so much in terms of
marriage and we're hoping for a change
in the
temple and Charlie in the in the case of
Charlie Charlie is living you know with
his boyfriend he's he's married to his
boyfriend and so you take this to a
youth group at a Fireside and they get
on these men's social media media and
they're liking them and supporting them
and yay yay and all is good and all of a
sudden you've got this these youth that
are now supporting breaking the law of
Chastity and I mean that right they're
they're they're
supporting the marriage of of Charlie
and and I don't you know again I don't
care what Charlie does I don't care what
Ben does do do what you want to do
you've got agency make your own
choices but for the church to come out
and start supporting those messages that
is very confusing and and in my opinion
I I think it's very wrong so hey uh
Charlie or Ben if you ever want to go to
lunch I'm available Charlie I saw you
lunch on a flight I should have said hi
wasn't sure if you knew who I was so
what's interesting here is that none of
the things that I would think are none
of the resources I would think are the
best resources for those that are lgbtq
especially young
lgbtq are are up here
the ones I would say are the most Faith
promoting that are not looking for that
hope and change in the
church and this is where I would go
right first of all you'll notice that on
that that Resource page that they had
that
the presenter for the stake Relief
Society president was given the Church
of jesuschrist.org was not even on there
nothing from their website was on there
and there there's quite a few things
that are on there to support lgbtq Q
individuals Northstar International I
think is the uh probably the largest
most Faith promoting organization out
there Beacon Ministry over there with
Tim Timber Harwood does a great job and
he also has a Blog called musings of a
queer Saint uh a queer Saint and uh and
then sit down with sky and Amanda right
Sky Sorenson is another great example of
someone who has same-sex attraction and
yet wants to live a life under the order
of God and and is not looking for change
but is looking to do what he needs to do
regardless of his sexual
orientation to live a faithful life
right th those are the beacons so to
speak those are the role models I think
that ought to be put up there none of
these none of these are up in those
resource pages of course they're not in
the presentations that I usually see
that are out there and being given
they're all about this idea of changing
everything within the temple changing
policy within the
church and and that's what's pushed
we're out here with these stake events
these Ward
events with priesthood holders with the
keys over these
presentations while these individuals
are
giving presentations to break down the
family or against the law of Chastity
and giving resources of others who want
to change the temple very
ironic as far as books go these are both
I think from Sky Sorenson exclude not
thyself and this boy and his mother is
is a great example so anyway this is
kind of just as a followup from I I just
put up another episode on the order of
the family on the family Theology of the
church the doctrine of exaltation this
is what needs to be held up and if the
presentation
the lgbtq
presentations which I think can be good
to have but if they are not based on the
doctrine of
exaltation and eternal life then there's
a problem the church's purpose is to
right to bring bring to pass the
immortality and eternal life of man and
if we're teaching and promoting things
that are outside of
that that seems to be an issue to me
thanks for listening
oh
