I can’t help but follow everything Elder Oaks has to say on freedom of religion and politics. He is a great mind and a strong spirit with the right theological and secular background. Elder Oaks is etching out a middle-ground on state vs. religion and it is a beautiful thing to see him move this position forward. It does not strike me as a “dance” between the two, but rather a clear, concise road that he boldly walk walks down.
