Change in "The Lord's Prayer"

In December last year, Pope Francis called for a change in translation of The Lord’s Prayer which is found in the book of Matthew 6:9-13. A variant is also found in the book of Luke.

The interesting thing is that after all of this time, the Pope wants to change the scriptures. Is there anything more repeated in all of Christian scripture than The Lord’s Prayer?

Indirectly, this shows the problem of translation. The Pope is right. The translation is wrong. Everyone knows that now.

For members of the LDS church, we already knew this change was necessary. In the Joseph Smith translation, the exact phrase change called for by the Pope was changed by Joseph Smith in his translation of the Bible.
