The Philosophies of Men today lead with Empathy and Compassion. The "Mormon" culture is highly susceptible to this because it has developed a high value of "niceness" in place of kindness and charity.
As we continue to molten a Teddy Bear Jesus, we will continue to implement Untethered Empathy and Malevolent Compassion without righteousness or reason.
We are becoming a heavily feminized society.
all right let's take a walk uh beautiful
day today Saturday uh a reminder to go
to Quick media.com up at the top there
click on the free newsletter quick week
I send out two articles a week would
love for you to read those and get all
the information on
quick uh sign up for free there also
this episode is brought to you by go
Ando travel I am the official
spokesperson for go Ando travel uh very
happy about this Association I want to
talk about the gospel on the Nile
because some things have changed here we
have of course I'm leaving here in a
week to Egypt and turkey on that uh trip
that of course is sold out the February
trip for 2025 is now sold out there are
two trips in March that are still
available they are limited uh but we'll
love to see you there on either of those
trips on gospel on the Nile we've also
opened up next year's September
2025 gospel on the Nile as well so if
you want to go in March make sure that
you get to that quickly all right and
how do you do that by the way you go to
Quick media.com go up to the top of the
page at trips and events and there you
will scroll down to gospel on the Nile
and find out more about it you won't
learn anything more about the temple
outside of the temple then you will in
Egypt it's a great great trip all right
so I want to talk about a couple of
things here here today
uh first of
all I think we need to focus in a little
bit more as a people as a society here
in uh in the west especially but in the
United States also on untethered empathy
and malevolent compassion you know
there's two different definitions for
these things first empathy is primarily
an awareness of how others feel
especially emotionally right and it's an
attempt to feel those same emotions from
that person's
perspective this of course is a very
female trait uh men can be good at it
also but overall very generally speaking
it's all I'm saying men are not quite as
good at this uh but of course then you
have compassion and compassion has more
to do with a desire to actually take
action to help the person so an
untethered empathy is I'm going to feel
feel the emotions of that person without
tethering it to truth or
Reason that's a problem right it is a a
a a boat out without a keel it's a boat
out without an anchor it is just going
to go along with a current of whatever
that person happens to feel that you're
around that's a problem with compassion
and thinking about taking action what
are you going to do well I'm going to
Ally myself with this person okay well
what does that mean
exactly um and or or I'm going to
support this person is that with
anything is that with identitarianism is
that with things that are sinful and
just wrong you support them regardless
is that all about as compassion mean
that you are going to Simply uh affirm
everything that they're doing I think
that's a problem especially as a parent
anybody who's a parent realizes that you
can't just say yes to everything right
you can't just go along with everything
that uh a child does you have to be able
to say okay I support you but I am
looking out for your long-term interest
and that's really I think more along the
lines of what charity is right um boy my
walk here has been suspended it looks
like it looks like they
uh Li mited uh where I can go here
that's okay we'll take a different path
um
so with also Justice and mercy these are
two other things I've been talking about
an untethered empathy and a malevolent
compassion right taking a bad action for
someone's
feelings uh again not tied to reason or
to Truth uh justice and mercy are very
similar giving a mercy without Justice
is
wrong God doesn't do that he doesn't
pour out
Mercy uh without talking about
justice as we learn in the scriptures
the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ is
there for everyone to take advantage of
the invitation is given to all but that
does not mean that all receive that
right because if it is our choice to
accept
it and it's our choice to take advantage
of that again invitation there for all
of us but we don't all accept that
sometimes it's for those that choose to
repent which basically means aligning
yourself with God and trying to take on
that
character uh so Justice and mercy don't
work together in fact think about it
we've got a problem all of mankind has a
problem and that is that
no unclean thing can enter the kingdom
of God that is the whole problem the
entire gospel is built off of that issue
and that
problem heavenly father wants to bring
us back to him but no unclean thing can
enter the kingdom of God so what do you
do well everything underneath that as my
good friend bro Bruce Porter says is
simply a means right to accomplishing
that goal including the atoning
sacrifice of Jesus Christ that is a
means to get people back to the kingdom
of God and so when we remove
Justice we remove the need to repent we
remove the word of God the
Commandments what we're actually doing
is removing
Mercy right we are removing that Mercy
because we're saying there's no need for
it if there is no justice there is no
need for the Mercy there is no need for
the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ
and I believe this is one of one of the
major
reasons that Christ has diminished
especially in Old Testament times and
throughout the Book of Mormon with the
Nephi
denters because once you get rid of
judgment look at the people of
amanah they did not believe in Judgment
of course they
don't right because they don't believe
in Christ they don't believe in a
doctrine of Christ they don't believe in
an toning sacrifice of God coming down
being born of a woman lowering himself
condescending and then lowering himself
in the garden and on the cross to
finally Ascend and resurrect so if there
is no
judgment there's no atoning sacrifice
there's no need for it and there's no
need for a christ this was about the war
in heaven this was the issue on at the
war of Heaven you don't need a savior
right you don't need someone to go pay
the price for
sin and let's just make everybody equal
let's not have any
judgment so that untethered empathy and
that malevolent compassion I think are
real issues that support the idea of
getting rid of judgment and
Justice and and therefore getting rid of
a need for a savior we need the need for
a savior we need the ability to learn to
have faith in him that is part of the
plan it's not just a it's not just part
of the spiritual
economy where where we have someone by
proxy paying for our sins it's the
relationship it builds I believe it's
the relationship it builds with him that
becomes an eternal relationship and a
requirement for us to actually become
who we need to
become so building a teddy bear Jesus is
really
simply to me an
onramp to to a to no need for Jesus
Christ no need for his
suffering
because we we remove
sin we remove we remove the atonement
right and of course there's no
need
for growth or there's no way through to
get
growth there's no way to become
without all of that laid before
us uh we're told also in uh John 1 that
Jesus is the word the logos I've got a
little different version of that with my
idea of DB but that's the Justice that's
the Commandments that's the iron
Rod right he is the
word he's not just merciful and put my
arm around you he is but not just
that it's not just that you have to have
both Justice and mercy you have to have
both of these to make things
work and in our culture of our Mormon
culture I think that there is a real
propensity to
be uh
susceptible to these ideologies that
we're getting today these very
radical woke ideologies that are
uh that lead always with this untethered
empathy and this malevolent compassion
that's how they get you that is the
carrot and
and the reasoning behind it right the
argument is powerful upfront you have to
have compassion for someone you have to
be empathetic to somebody well of course
you do but how do you do
that right it can't just be be freeo it
just can't can't it can't be
untethered it's got to be tied to truth
and to for us as Latter-Day Saints it's
got to be tied to the word of God and
what he's looking for us to
do another thing is
is this
niceness that we have we seem to have
which I I'm not sure how this developed
I don't think that this was ever part of
the plan I I
don't I I think that this
passive value that we have raised so
high of being
nice is really detrimental to us and we
are going to be more susceptible to
these ideologies because of
this niceness is not the same thing as
kindness I think that Ness personally
please understand what I'm saying I
think that neness is a horrible value
horrible value and you'll notice in the
talks I I can tell that the brethren
when they give their talks in general
conference they don't use the word nice
as far as a value for us to follow they
use the word kind because niceness is
passive it allows things to happen to us
it's really just politeness let me avoid
conflict right and and kindness is
actually I am going to stick my neck out
for somebody I am going to have a a plan
of commission
not Omission with those around me and
I'm going to interact with them in a
deliberate fashion right and and that
that I think we need to move from
niceness to kindness the other thing is
even
politeness we're very
polite and I'm not saying politeness is
not a good value I think it is a good
value but not at the value of not at the
expense of higher values not not at the
expense of Truth not at the expense of
loss not at the expense of standing for
what you believe in that doesn't mean
you try to create conflict but conflict
is
inevitable if the culture continues to
move the direction it is and you stand
firm on the principles of the Gospel
that is inevitable now there are ways to
handle that with tact
and with kindness I don't always fall
into that I try to but there it's not
niess niceness is going to get you
steamrolled by the
culture around us by Babylon niess is
going to see uh a number of people
falling away because they are in a
pattern of
omission and passivity and not one of
strengthening their own uh um
testimonies and and interactions and and
their tie to the word of God and to
Justice and judgment as it should be
right the more we
create a teddy bear Jesus a God that we
think we're following that is a teddy
bear
Jesus the the more we're going to be
susceptible to these ideologies he is a
loving God but he is a God that has the
Pure Love Of Christ
Christ and and that is Charity right
it's charity it is not
affirmation it is not uh uh supporting
things that we don't agree with and I
think that's an important thing to to
realize uh a distinction right there if
we go with
tolerance as our idea of love if we go
with tolerance is our idea with Charity
we are doomed I mean we are we are in
trouble right I think
also you know we need to make sure we
keep reason and and Truth in is part of
our decisions and our interactions and
our feelings with others it's got to be
tied to
something and we have moved I think that
this is honestly a part of culture that
as we have become more and more
feminized not that being feminized to
some degree is not right it is but as we
have gone
hyper hyper feminized in our culture we
lean toward that empathy and compassion
without the
checks right without the checks cultures
all go through this they
they they can start off as the Wild Wild
West right hyper masculine or or like
Pirates is a hyper masculine group or GS
right these are hyper masculine groups
that do not have a feminine check on
them and because of the rule of numbers
when you get a number of people together
like that especially men together like
that if there is not a feminine check on
them then you're going to see not with
everyone but you're going to see that
masculinity move toward a place that is
not
good and
it's the same thing now with moving
toward a feminine Society we are losing
the masculine
check right we are moving the losing the
masculine check where now we are raising
women up to a more of a masculine a
feminized masculine
role and we're moving men down as far to
as we can on their end with their
masculinity to a feminized role and it's
not going to work that is not an order
that works works
so do we follow
that and and or or do we stick with a
balance do we stick with men trying to
uh
exert
spiritual Godlike masculine traits of
responsibility and courage and
Leadership and with women of nurturing
and spirituality and of tethered
empathy and righteous
compassion I think that's where we need
to go thanks for listening
