The Magdala Stone is a large carved stone found in an ancient Synagogue in Magdala, the namesake of Mary Magdalene and a city in Galilee that Jes
us may very well have taught in. The altar-like stone offers yet another example of how the current understanding of how Jews worshiped has been brought into question.
The stone is carved with temple symbols including a seven-branch menorah.
