The media does not like the Church's new Transgender Policy. In fact, they are lockstep in their propaganda approach. We briefly cover the Salt Lake Tribune, Julie Hanks, CNN, Associated Press, and NBC to give their angles.
The entire media takes the same approach and repeats the same tropes. But what is not discussed is the others involved such as women and children. Not a single individual who supported the policy changes was interviewed. Not a single reason as to why they might be good. Nothing!
clarification on what we're hearing from uh those media sources but also some

all right well of course the transgender policy changes in the church made national news so NBC CNN AP of course
the hill and of course the local Salt Lake Tribune there in Utah have all
commented on this written articles about primarily the same thing it's all about the advocacy and allies to lgbtq
individuals what's always interesting to me in these types of Articles and this kind of blowback is that they don't look
at the other sides and that's what I want to look at a little bit more here these are difficult issues and you have
to look at both sides of the sword so to speak in order to be able to walk the edge of that sword and it is not a
simple issue and I know many of you think that it is but I'm going to lead with this again and that is that you
need to have charity for every son and daughter of God well why do they even
being the transgender individuals even want to go to church that is an an statement it's it's it's it's not
understanding that these are individuals that probably want to be faith-based but
they have a very difficult time with several things now whether you believe this is a mental illness or this is a
biological issue that causes these types of feelings to have gender dysphoria it
doesn't matter these are people that struggle and to say well why do they go to church is to say well they don't have
any spirit with them they don't have any desire to have a relationship with God
and and that's just a a wrong assumption but with that let's go ahead and get into some of this media here and see
what they have to say let's go to the Salt Lake Tribune here again the Trib we love bringing their stuff up because it gives you a very good idea of the the I
was going to say the adversaries approach but the adversarial approach to usually what the CH the church is trying
to accomplish there without of doubt in the media the the greatest the greatest
criticizer critiquer of the church but here's their headline here uh this is
not the same one that I used last time in the episode this is a new one this says trans people are not Predators
Scholars say new LDS church policies Stoke groundless fears the last one was
about Scholars warning about these transgender policy changes which is a very interesting approach now I
understand that scholars study these things uh they you get psychologists
psychiatrists but you also get a lot of people that are indoctrinated into gender
ideology a lot of this is not based in science some of it is but a lot of it is not based in science and it's simply an
agenda that is trying to be pushed forward using individuals that do in
reality struggle with these things as tools to push an anti-family agenda
forward now I think there would be an argument against that what I just said but I believe that that is true now
notice the top of this headline here trans people are not Predators so a number of these media Outlets are going
to use this as the reasoning behind the church's changes that they are they that
the trans people must be Predators as if they're that ignorant I don't believe
that they are that ignorant now that doesn't mean they haven't had issues with this it's very possible that they
had you and I don't know this but that's not the issue here there is nothing in the statement by the church in their
news release there is nothing in the uh the policy changes in the handbook that
say anything about trans individuals being Predators not a single thing now
maybe some of you have inferred this that that must be the reason that these are in there look maybe there is
something to this I don't know but the church didn't imply this and even in
their actions it's not an implication let me tell you why if you have a trans
woman as an example one of the J one of the policy changes was you know you can't have a a uh um a trans woman going
into a woman's bathroom right unless someone unless there's no one in there and you have somebody watching out front
of the bathroom well well you can say well this is a an issue of being a
predator if that's what you want to infer but this is going to be very difficult for the women knowing that a
biological male is in that bathroom and let me ask you this if there is a
biological male in that bathroom a trans woman are you going to send your 8-year-old girl into that bathroom I I
think that's preposterous and you say well you must think that trans people are predators no that's not the point if
there was a man a heterosexual man going into the women's bathroom I would say
the same thing and so when you look at the other side of the coin and you say well we're going to protect kids this is
a biological maale in the bathroom and I know young women who have been actually
in a church bathroom have been assaulted you don't put a young child
especially a a young woman in the bathroom with a biological male I don't
care if they are trans or they are heterosexual it doesn't matter
same thing with the outings with the young men and the young women you don't put a biological male out on an outing
with a bunch of young women I'm sorry that is wrong it's
wrong and that goes beyond even the idea of okay biological young women are going
to feel very uncomfortable with a biological male teaching them in class
about being a young woman we'll get into that a little bit more here on a couple of these comments that we get from the
media so here's what we get in the subtitle of the Salt Lake Tribune's article here this is it says Utah based
Faith could face protest that's probably what they they're hoping for over these changes but
lgbtq Advocate urges all sides to engage respectfully kindly and compassionately
okay I fully agree with that right that's a positive there give them some some some Kudos there coming down a
little bit further here now this is this article here is written on August 24th this is the day that I'm recording this
uh by Peggy Peggy flatcher St stack and David noise I believe that this is taken
from I I think that this is taken from the Mormon lands podcast and they've pulled pieces from this I I they say
here the policies may be the most extreme since the hotly disputed and now discarded exclusion policy of November
2015 regarding same-sex couples I think it is under the newly released
guidelines members who have transitioned in any way right socially or physically
with surgery um cannot receive Temple recommends work with children serve as
teachers in their congregations or fill any gender specific assignments such as
president of the women's Relief Society it's funny they always go to one side they don't talk about the trans uh men
at all they don't say or as a uh uh you know a Sunday school president or whatever it might be
because quite frankly the men just don't care as much I was in a uh at a at a
baseball game at uh uh Diamondbacks baseball game couple months back and uh
I got went back and went into the restroom and I went into a stall there and within I don't know a few minutes I
had on my left side I went someone came in and I looked over and the person was obviously a female and and I looked to
my right and someone else came in and they were obviously a female and of course my first thought is oh my gosh I
walked into the wrong bathroom what am I going to do now I've got to be what is my what is my exit strategy here but
what had happened is is these two women were friends and there was a long line for the women's bathroom and they
couldn't hold it right so they came in covered up their faces I'm imagining because this is what they did on their
way out um but they had come in and use the restroom and so I got out of the stall because I was done with my
business I walk over to the sink and hear the two women afterward walk out and they're blocking their faces because
they're embarrassed as they run out right no man cares I mean if it was done all the time
and women were always in there sure maybe they're going to care but nobody cares now if there were two men that
went into a busy this is a busy bathroom right if they went into a busy bathroom
with women and girls in there there's going to be a problem right and and it's
not that that they're trans women I'm talking about any man any biological
male there's going to be a problem so maybe that's why they always refer to the trans women the biological males
because that's where the real issue is you don't have a a bunch of protesters and conservative pundits that are out
there saying why are trans women or trans men coming into locker rooms of
college athletes male College athletes nobody cares right it's just not that
big of a deal but it is a big deal the other way around now in regards to the 2015 guidelines with the same-sex
couples the children of the same-sex couples who knows what could happen here I mean this is a move toward what a lot
of people want to see you've seen a lot of States recently that have passed guidelines against uh uh going into the
opposite Sexes bathrooms in high schools and Oran in k space and in many of them in in the
universities and college level bathrooms there have been several states that have passed these laws recently and so the
church is going a little bit more along the lines of that Trend so you know our next paragraph down here talking about
they cannot uh they need to use a single person restroom whenever possible unless
there's a a trusted person that's standing outside of another bathroom
which I we had a lot of push back in the comments on this a lot of women women were saying oh so we as women have to
wait until this man this biological male is done and walks back out they're not
really okay with it and this is one of the points I want to make let me get back to this this is you have to look at
all sides of this it's interesting because you have these individuals like those at the Salt Lake
Tribune here and quite frankly the the the those that lead this podcast that
have been big advocates for women for a very long time and push against a lot of the patriarchy of the church in for
women's rights and yet here when it comes that's fine everywhere else except
for when you get to transgender issues and then once you get to transgender issues that trumps all of women's
rights nobody cares about the women any longer when you're dealing with a transgender issue nobody cares about the
young girls they're completely forgotten and when I say completely forgotten there isn't a single article out of all
of these that I've pulled up and many more that I've looked at that asks women what they think about this not one you
know that whole push several years ago of saying why aren't there more women up on the stand in church wh where are the
women in these articles you get zero representation of just women saying I
don't like this this is wrong I feel very uncomfortable with this what are my rights and so those other sides of the
coin here and what I mean by the two other sides of the coin are women and children all of a sudden nobody cares
about this in the media anyway I'm looking here at the article here again and it does confirm that this is from
the Mormon land podcast and again we're going to get ta Taylor Petri here uh he
wrote the book I I think it's Tabernacles of clay which is about lgbtq issues in the church he says the the
question here that was given to him is what were your initial reactions to these new guidelines he says my first
reaction was worry then as I was digging into all the changes it was increasingly concerning as I saw some of the ways
that transgender people were being stigmatized I it fed into a lot of the
fear-mongering right which I'm sure people are saying I'm doing here that has been happening about trans people in
the world right now so they're talking about these I think I'm going to assume infer that he's talking about some of
the the changes in in the bathrooms and in the locker rooms Etc again the
fear-mongering coming from one side side but you're not allowed to have fearmongering being offered on the other
side put male swimmers in the locker rooms with all the female swimmers in college no problem right it's all
one-sided in this in this effort Soto then here is I think Michael SoDo a
trans man says my first reaction was I wanted to show up for my community and so I spent Monday talking to trans
members of the church and families of trans members of the church there should be this talk I I think that this is
important uh my next reaction was that I wanted to help the church know trans people better
I think that's important because I think when you know us then you know that treating us the same way as you as you
treat cisg cisgender people is good to a certain degree there are still biological
differences that that is not it's not the same thing yes we are all children
of God but it's not the same thing but I do agree that there should be more and
more exploration and maybe there has been by the church I don't know on speaking with faithful trans members of
the church and see what they're going through I think that's an important
thing they do ask about positive changes in the church to Taylor Petri uh what
does he say about this he says that with respect to the causes of transgender identity the church at least is taking a
neutral standpoint which I also think is true we don't know what we're going to get from this right I know some of you
are out there again all know very hard conservative side that's saying well this is all a choice or it's all
nurturing right bad experiences in the past and I'm sure that with some individuals this is true and then
there's others on the other side of this that'll be on the Other Extreme that say no this is never the case it's always a
biological thing and they're born completely this way I I think there's a mixture of this and it does and in terms
of the policies I don't think that they matter I don't think any anywhere you are on that spectrum of the sources of
of gender dysphoria I don't think it matters he does say this at the end also
that the church is putting forward this ideal of a loving and respectful way of engaging with this issue that frankly
other Christians I I you have to say some maybe even most I don't know because
it's a very new and unfamiliar territory for most people anywhere whether they're
Christians or not Christians I don't think has anything to do with it frankly other Christians and other latterday
Saints don't always do and this is true right I told you some of the comments at the beginning of the episode and what
some people are saying that's that's ignorant give people a chance that
doesn't mean you need to compromise values you need to care for people and
understand that some people struggle with things just a couple more points on this article and I'm going to move on to another medium here the question is
asked do you think trans members and their allies will leave the church over this and look it's a legitimate question
I I don't believe this should be a reason to leave the church just like I don't believe it's a reason for a
general Authority or a prophet or anybody else taking a certain position on covid and and leaving the church for
that is I think silly to me you know just my little humble opinion here but
uh the answer for Taylor Petri is it's not clear what the future will be or how local congregations and individuals are
going to be able to work through the pain of their trans members and I don't
doubt that there is pain on this I don't doubt that at all it's definitely a period of mourning right now though okay
I don't discount that right I don't discount that uh Michael stto the best thing that
we can do in this moment is not be afraid to make choices that prioritize trans members safety and mental health
and our well-being that depends on what you mean all right offering love and
support without compromising truth yes I agree with that quick question on is
this like the discarded November 2015 policy again it could be who knows where
the church is going to go on this you know there's a as this be as culture moves further and further away
from from from the Garden of Eden account essentially right man and a
woman multiply and replenish the Earth build a family um as as we move further
and further away from that then then where is the church going to stand on a number of these issues because for the
most part what we have seen is this big support from the church about a relationship with the lgbtq community
and those individuals you know you saw the rfma last year right the support of that with a 70 from the church actually
going to the White House and supporting the rfma and very supportive language in
the press release on that to the point that you had a lot of individuals in the church wondering where are they going
with this I we had we had a lot of people contacting us on that what is going on but as these things become
stronger and stronger and the shift keeps moving downhill right we talked about those two arcs of History here
recently on that last walk I did but as the shift moves more and more is the
church going to make a stand in these places or do they feel that they have to hold on to relationships and what is the
battle there where how are they going to work through those things it's going to be a very very interesting
time just one more Point here from the Salt Lake Tribune they ask the question what about limiting trans members access
to Children stto says it's misinformation that causes harm to all of us and and here s's talking about uh
uh transgender individuals trans people are not Predators that's not what the issue is I mean it might be partly I
can't say it's not right I don't know what the reports are back to Salt Lake
neither do you neither do they here at the Tribune right but that that to me
there's no mention of this anywhere that they might be Predators the issue is
putting a biological mail in a women's bathroom with women and small
girls is inappropriate certainly in our culture
here in the US it's not about saying trans people are
predators I mean I would ask one of the authors here or the the podcast host
here the female podcast host here do you have a problem with a man a heterosexual
man coming in and sitting down next to you in a women's bathroom and do you care if that happens often and taking it
one step further because you know it will go there this this same thing if we had locker rooms if you went here we do
have locker rooms don't we what about baptisms do you let a transwoman go into a changing area for
the baptisms before and after a baptism because that will eventually come up if
that's where we go don't think it won't the agenda rolls and rolls and rolls
forward or backward however you want to look at it and is are the authors here or the host of the podcast here are they
okay with trans women I'm going to assume they're going to say yes but I
won't say that they will I don't know but are they okay with trans women being in women's locker rooms this is a tough
issue you can't just look at the transgender individual there are others
involved it is not about hate right there are very few people that are that
that where this would be about hate very few people so let's understand all sides to this all right and then this point
here I want to get to where Taylor Petri says in response response to the
limitation uh on callings he says Uh there's another way in which these
policies are really restricting the visibility of trans people in their Wards and congregations the number of
callings that are now available to them is extremely small and that
contributes unfortunately to the problem of making them invisible and it sends a message that you're not really fully
welcome here look I I I understand that I think that that there there is
certainly Merit to that the question is what's on the other side what's on the
other side who else is involved invisibility can can just be so harmful
here because it prohibits people from making and building those relationships okay I agree here's the problems though
some of those relationships are already very difficult they just are as an
example if you have let's say that you had a transwoman who was the young
women's president and she's with 12 to 18yearold young
women are you going to have a biological male going out on the trips with her
with with with those young women no and let me go further they there's
talk of a a lived experience here well this is their lived experience well it's their lived experience to a certain
degree they do not have female bodies so they don't understand everything that
these young women are going through do they understand the issues with boys do
they understand the dating Dynamics do they understand having a period And the
emotions that go along with that every month do they understand modesty and how
to deal with that and and and the different discussions and arguments around the issues of modesty no so their
lived experience only goes so far it's not the same experience and imagine
those young women dealing with these types of things and talking to a transwoman about them when they're
expecting to have female support in those areas all right I want to go on
here with um Dr Julie Hanks and just a couple of things that she says here that
I I I've kind of already covered here a little bit but I just want to talk a little bit about a couple of her
comments here the these policy updates put transgender people in the same category with people who have abused
children by not letting them have callings with Children and Youth okay
again I I just I don't agree with her on this it's it's not the same category it
might be the same restrictions but you're not talking about the same category or the same reasoning behind it it's not the same
thing so I want you to think about this who is most likely to abuse children
heterosexual males so and that might very well be the case I'm not arguing against that
it doesn't matter it's not just about abuse it's about what's appropriate you
have a trans woman going to a bathroom and there's a 10-year-old girl in there that is not appropriate it doesn't mean
that that trans woman is more likely to be a predator this is just you know I I
don't understand the thinking on this I I just don't understand to me again there this is an issue of untethered
empathy and malevolent compassion it completely disregards everything else around it let's go on here we're not
Banning them from working with children our youth in fact we still let them meet with children behind closed doors
without another adult present so this doesn't make any sense and I think is really damaging and
harmful uh this PO these policy updates deny trans people's lived
experience so if I'm a transwoman or trans young woman I have to go
to the men's or young men's class even though I present as a woman and I feel
like a woman that makes no sense but but you're not a woman right you're you're not a woman
and and again your lived experience that you brought up here for for those trans women is not the same as the women in
Relief Society it's not the same as the women in young women's it's not the same
thing it's harmful it's damaging it's confusing too it's
confusing when you also have them going into the opposite sex's
classes and bathrooms that's also confusing transgender individuals are
not a threat to anyone and again I I I don't
disagree with that I don't think that that's an issue Beyond any body else but a a male body is a male body and we're
going to get further along here in Doctrine here in a second where we are dealing with issues of of of core at
least practice that we have in the temple bathroom on overnight
activities um these policy updates perpetuate stereotypes that trans people are trying
to convert children to becoming trans or that they are uh at a higher likelihood
of abusing children which again I I there's nothing in the in the you know I'm not going to argue that that's not
true because I again I don't know the full intention of the church on this and their policies and maybe they're going to switch them back I don't know with
what she's saying here but that is not anything that has been listed here there's not a single time that abuse or
being a predator or anything else that that they're doing this for the you know
that's that's not anything they're saying that trans people are more likely to be predators no one said that it's a matter
of what's appropriate I'm not sending my 8-year-old girl into an unsupervised
bathroom with anyone who has a male body not going to do it okay let's go on to
some national news here with CNN real quick uh their headline LDS church
updated restrictions on transgender members bans them from working with kids
again there are several reasons to this I I think it why can't you talk it out all it is is an agenda response here
from these Outlets talk out the reasons give people let PE normal people talk
about why they think that is appropriate otherwise this is this is simply propaganda and then CNN does the same
thing here this is the perpetuated regurgitated uh reasoning behind this
they say LDS church members who are transgender who the church States in its broader guidelines are wanted and needed
members face possible annotation on their member record yes what if what if
you they they don't what if you can't tell you need to know right because
gender is important in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints it is it's part of the doctrine right
something that can also happen for people who sexually abuse children that's not the reason for it
that is such a red herring that that is ridiculous right and those that commit sexual predator behavior and are
involved with child pornography right and they say according to the handbook that's not what the handbook says it's
that's not the reasoning behind it but that's what they're trying to push here they they quote and reference a
therapist in Utah Tyler Lefever a Utah based therapist and researcher who was brought up in the church and identifies
as queer said the updated policies are really unfort this is funny how they always write
these things because they put in quotes and then they unquote them right and that's the end of the quote and then as
they reduce the Liberties local church leaders take in their interpretation of church policy so that's obviously not
quoted from uh Tyler Lefever here and yes it does reduce the amount there was
more leeway they they gave too much before in my opinion because look what happened I mean how many accounts have I
received of people saying what's going on in their local Wards with trans members especially
youth going on campouts you had young male members of the church going on
women's campouts and sleeping in the tents and in the
cabins no and so uh LEF says this is kind of
the church's way of saying No this is how we want you all to do it I agree with that I think that's exactly what
they did I think they saw many accounts of what was happening and this is the harsh thing here and
there's some reality to this right I mean how do you how else do you get around this uh he says the greatest harm
is in the implication for Trans members of the church just saying we really don't want you here please leave and if
you're going to be here you have to conform to these really high level of expectations on how you present yourself
okay again I I yes this is the way it needs to be I believe you have to
assimilate to the doct of the church and it is Doctrine they'll tell you it's not
but these gender issues are Doctrine and you can only go so far in the Covenant
path which a lot of people the same people that support or or are against
these kind of changes you know oftentimes don't support this Covenant path but it's intrical to the teachings
of the church right there's only so far you can go in that path but at the same time yes you would
say okay well these transgender individuals may not feel wanted I mean you can understand that right you can
get that so that's where the real empathy needs to come in that's where charity needs to come in you can't just
say to yourself just change stop making this decision you don't know what's
going on with them you have no freaking idea what is going on with
them and the difficulties that they face now again you don't need to drop your
values you don't need to change the policies but I I I believe in the world
we are entering into in the west here you've got to learn to walk the edge of the
sword offer charity keep your stance on
truth that's what you do you let go of the truth now you're untethered and it's no longer charity the AP says lgbtq plus
Advocates within the faith say these stringent guidelines further marginalized transgender people who
already feel like Outsiders in church Lori Lee Hall this is someone this is the St ex-state president uh who
transitioned over to being a woman a transgender woman who was EXC commuted in
2017 uh after she they say transitioned said the new guidelines make it challenging for people like her to keep
the faith okay I I don't doubt that either right and I don't think the response to that is well so what
right I I don't think that and again it's not that you comp you don't compromise anything you
don't but please understand these people have a difficult life right it's not a
matter of saying well GE you it's not for you you don't have that difficulty that doesn't mean they don't they're
going through struggles but they sure like to use Hall here as as a reference uh Hall seems to
be in all of the articles NBC wow NBC of all these
media uh Mormon church Issues new restrictions on transgender members the new policies include a measure to
annotate trans members records grouping them with members who have committed sexual violence or child abuse that is
so ridiculous there it is as blatant as can be right you can see the narrative
trying to form here forming here as to what is going on here trying to
victimize them as much as possible that isn't the case there are reasons for
making the annotations that have nothing to do with sexual violence or child
abuse it's Preposterous they also uh reference
Taylor Petri here these guys are really popular in in this subject and again they don't they don't
talk to anybody from the other side arguing on the other side or or why this would be important to them that these
policies were in place a mother where are the mothers the churches here and
and and at at at of the wards and and and what their position is on this or a
bishop that would argue why these policies might be important from experience that they've had it doesn't
exist NBC says the new policies conflict with the church's more welcoming position to the lgbtq community in
recent years which followed backlash in the early 2000s for its support for California's proposition 8 ban on gay
marriage okay well again here and then they've got the respect for Marriage Act here the rfma in 2022 which they fully
supported that is going to again that's going to be the issue they're saying okay well they were so supportive of so many other things over the last decade
or so and and why have they you know the the the support that they gave to the uh
the fair uh the Fairness Act is that what it was I can't remember the name of it in in in in Utah in about
2015 something president Oaks has really been pushing for actually
nationally something that increases lgbtq uh uh rights but also increases
religious rights but you can see how this is going to work and you can't operate just off of what the media is
going to say because the media is almost always going to be against you they're going to be aligned with what with the
hegelian dialectic they're going to be aligned with progressivism moving the
world what they believe is forward a breakdown of individual ual identity and
a breakdown of the family and that's exactly what it is and I and there is a
difference between looking at these transgender individuals and talking about them and their own experience and
what's going on with them and the policies that are around them and an overall move to change
pronouns accept pronouns and change reality and as I've said many times on
this podcast it is not just about gender separating gender from sex it's also attacking what sex actually means a male
and a female and it's getting rid of all of it that is the agenda and it's very
very easy to show that so again I'm not saying that a a transgender individual
has that agenda I'm saying that the movement the
Guist of identitarianism is pushing for the breakdown of all of these things
now I want to finish up here with the family proclamation people that are
critical of the things that I say in this regard are going to say that I'm using this as some kind of bully club
right I'm weaponizing no I'm not weaponizing it if it disagrees with what
you say that doesn't mean I'm weaponizing it when President Holland referred to these things in his 2021 BYU
address he was not weaponizing it it's just that you don't agree with it
but I want to go back to this quickly because this is an important thing to see in regards to gender and I I'm going
to read a portion of this right we the first presidency and the Council of the TW Apostles of the Church of Jesus
Christ of L Day Saints solemnly proclaimed that marriage between a man
and a woman all right now this is the focus here this is Genesis this is the
Garden of Eden account this is the basis of everything that's why it's there in
the Garden of Eden account and this is the doctrine of the Church of Jesus Christ of latterday saints and this is
the focus here this is why it's said stated here right in the first paragraph it is the focus of the Proclamation on
the family right solemnly Proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is
ordained of God and that the family is Central to the Creator's plan for the Eternal Destiny of his children if
that's true if that's true the policies and other doctrines that are wrapped
around that are going to lead toward this this order here marriage between a
man and a woman and if things pulled too far away from that unless the church just wants to go
along with it I have zero responsibility there you have zero responsibility there
unless they want to go along with it they're going to have to put their foot down in certain places
proclaim the doctrine and set in place certain policies let's go on here with the
proclamation all human beings male and female and get what they're saying here
are created in the image of God you are male or you are female now there are
very rare cases where that might be not the case or you could argue against that
binary very few cases and some of you have pushed against the
xyxx binary that I've been talking about but I I would want to talk to you a little bit further about that I
understand that there are different there are changes in your your physical well especially the
genitalia but there are other changes that don't there things that don't change each is a beloved Spirit son or
daughter son or daughter of heavenly parents let me ask you this if you believe that we are Spirit children of a
heavenly father and a heavenly mother right if that's the
case is a transwoman a daughter of God if that individual feels that way if
they have a male body are they going to resurrect with a woman's
body they might want to I get it I get it if you're a
transwoman do you have the capacity to be a mother I mean a mother a maternal
mother from your eggs and your womb and
if you are a trans man do you have the ability to be a father those are things
that I would look at and and discuss let's at least discuss those things right again each is
a beloved Spirit or daughter of heavenly f Heavenly parents and as such each has a divine nature and Destiny that's all
of us gender here we get the the point that's usually made here the phrase that's usually brought in here gender
after we've discussed these things male and female man and woman in marriage
right gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal mortal and eternal identity in
purp in and purpose in the premortal realm Spirit son and daughters knew and
worshiped God as their Eternal Father and accepted his plan by which his children could obtain a physical body
and gain Earthly experience to progress toward Perfection and ultimately realize their Divine Destiny as Heirs of eternal
life that's the important thing do you believe that or not do you believe in
exaltation or not and then real quickly here the divine plan of Happiness enables family relationships to
perpetuate beyond the grave sacred ordinances and Covenants available in holy temples make it possible for
individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be United eternally what did we just go over here
we went over a traditional family now a lot of us aren't a part of that all the on this Earth but that is the ideal that
is the order of God I'm just going to continue a little more here because it's all the same
theme theme not Thing theme the first commandment that God gave to Adam and
Eve pertained to their potential for Parenthood as husband and wife and how
far we fall away from these things we declare that God's commandment
for his children to multiply and replenish the Earth remains in force we
further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and
woman lawfully wedded as husband and wife
these are all now some people say well none of this is Doctrine it's all Doctrine the entire family proclamation
even though it has been put into the scriptures is built off of the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and if you've gone through the temple you understand that
and I believe that if for many people that are advocating for other things to
in support for a um transgender policies that would take
them all the way through the Covenant path in as the gender that they feel that
they are right then then again you're you're you're going through this thing and eventually you're getting to a point
of sealing with someone of the opposite
sex for an Eternal Marriage this is the order of God this
is what we we do and so yes eventually we
need to grab on to those things and I know people have a great struggle with
this and it might be your sexual orientation and we can't go in and say well we're going to change all of
this gender doesn't matter anymore man and woman being married
doesn't matter anymore you're destroying the doctrine of
exaltation and in the meantime what do we do what we do is we reach down and we
pull people up so a a quick you know kneejerk response on these things to
these individuals is to me inappropriate I I I don't see how you think that's
Christlike teach the gospel make people aware of it hang on to the
doctrine understand it and those that are not fitting in or
have struggles with that we are in a fallen World offer charity Tethered to
truth it's going to be very interesting to see where all of this goes and the
choices that Salt Lake make on these types of policies because we are barely
barely scratching the surface on identity and family thanks for listening
