Concerns Of New Language In The Church

This week an email communication from the Church included the term, "Microaggression". Some members were a little distraught. The word carries a lot of meaning and cultural baggage. We try to do some "clear thinking" and look at how the language and religion of academia will continue to be the major influence on culture and the difficult path the Church must navigate going forward. We also talk about how microaggressions can be a way to be more sensitive to others but ultimately is word, a tool used for control and heightening the value of victimhood. Both Jonathan Haidt and Nissam Nicholas Taleb corroborate this.
