Social Media is Disintegrating Society

Author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt recently wrote an article for the Atlantic. It is a summary of what he has been speaking and writing about for the last 10 years. Like the aftermath of the Tower of Babel, Social Media is pulling us apart and we are speaking our own languages. From simple adjustments such as "share", "retweet", and "like" buttons, our behavior is being manipulated online from social connecters to performers, from authentic statements to dishonesty. We are becoming the "ites" of the Book of Mormon.
