Trudeau and Canada Move Toward "Pre-Crime" and a Social Credit System
When Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act it gave him unprecedented powers as Prime Minister. He was able to circumvent due process and the courts, compel private businesses to assist him, to detain not only the protesters but those who financially and otherwise supported the protests, and to cut them off from the modern economy. Earlier this week he revoked the Emergencies act but he and his administration made it clear that they were going to make some of the provisions "permanent". Then came the re-emergence of Bill C-36. A "pre-crime" bill in the vein of The Minority Report that allows citizens to turn each other in if they think someone may post something online with "unacceptable views".
